Fred Clarke, Sunset Valley Orchids, California, speaking on Catasetum, Cycnoches,
and Mormodes.

October 18, 2007
Leo Schorde, past president of Illinois OS,
will present “Lycaste, the
Beautiful Sister of Helen of Troy.” He will discuss the culture of Lycaste in
the home, under lights and on the windowsill. Leo hails from
Zion, in northeastern
Illinois. He has been growing
orchids since 1972, and has been lecturing on Phrags, Paphs, Lycaste and Growing
Under Lights since 1992. Leo will be bringing plants for sale, including a fair
number of complex Lycaste hybrids that represent the latest in Lycaste skinneri
breeding.

Orchids”
